AMAGGI rises in the country’s largest company rankings
In addition to confirming the company’s position as the largest company in Mato Grosso State, the results obtained in 2017 leveraged AMAGGI’s position among the largest companies in Brazil in two of the main business rankings produced by the national press. The recently-published Exame Melhores & Maiores and Valor 1000 yearbooks – produced by the Exame magazine and the Valor Econômico newspaper – ranked AMAGGI respectively in the 36th and 41st positions in their rankings of the country’s largest organizations.
Both positions are the highest ever obtained by AMAGGI in its participation history in the two rankings, whose main criterion is the net revenue calculated in the year. The rankings’ methodology takes into account the company’s consolidated performance data for the fiscal year prior to the edition’s year. AMAGGI posted a net revenue of more than US$ 4.4 billion in 2017.
In the case of the Exame Melhores & Maiores yearbook, the best position ever reached by AMAGGI was 39th in the 2016 edition. The following edition ranked the company 44th, but its 2017 performance led it to surpass the 2016 position to be ranked 36th.
A similar move can be seen in the Valor 1000 yearbook: previously to the current edition, the best position ever reached by AMAGGI was 42nd in 2016; the following edition ranked the company five places lower, but the 2018 one placed it even better than in 2016 – in the 41st position.
