AMAGGI and Milhão Ingredients sign partnership to expand operations in the ingredients sector

AMAGGI, the largest Brazilian grain and fiber company, took one more important step towards diversifying its business by becoming a partner of Milhão Ingredients, a reference company in the production of high-quality special ingredients.

Milhão Ingredients has as clients large companies such as: Nestlé, Kellogg’s, PepsiCo, Mars, Royal Canin, General Mills, BRF, M. Dias Branco, Heineken, Ajinomoto, and other market leaders operating in the human food and animal nutrition segment.

Currently, AMAGGI already operates in the area of ingredients and animal nutrition, selling corn and soybeans in grains, as well as products derived from crushing soybeans, such as degummed oil and bran. The partnership with Milhão Ingredients expands AMAGGI’s portfolio in the special ingredients segment.

“The partnership, through investment with Milhão Ingredients, is aligned with AMAGGI’s strategy of growth and diversification of our business, always in a sustainable manner. Therefore, we are looking for a partner with the experience of Milhão Ingredients, which today already caters to the most discerning customers in the national and international market, with high-quality products in its segment,” says Judiney Carvalho, CEO of AMAGGI.

Carvalho adds that Milhão will continue to guide the business and that AMAGGI, in turn, will add in governance, within a shared control management. “We want to work together, as is already a tradition for us in other partnerships,” concludes Judiney Carvalho.

This is also the assessment by Leandro Carneiro, one of Milhão’s owning partners and company founders, along with his brother, Luciano Carneiro. He comments that the entry of a partner with AMAGGI’s tradition and credibility represents the possibility of strengthening and expanding the operations of Milhão Ingredients. “The resources from the new business will be used as a form of investing in Milhão itself to further leverage the company’s growth,” stresses Leandro.

“We understand that the relationship with rural producers is essential to guarantee the quality of the ingredients, starting with grain sourcing. I am sure that we will learn a lot together and that this partnership will yield excellent results,” comments Luciano.

The conclusion of the operation is still subject to approval by Cade (Administrative Council for Economic Defense).
