comp_trab_escravoTHE NATIONAL PACT FOR THE ERADICATION OF SLAVE LABOR An initiative of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the Ethos Institute for Business and Social Responsibility and the Agency Reporter Brazil, the Pact is an agreement in which companies, representative bodies and civil society organizations commit to defending human rights and eliminate slave labor in their supply chains. comp_empresa_limpaTHE BUSINESS PACT FOR INTEGRITY AND AGAINST CORRUPTION The Pact contains a set of guidelines and procedures to be adopted by companies and signatory entities with respect to the relationship with the public sector to be widely disseminated so the market can use them as reference. Its principles are based on the Code of Social Responsibility, the UN Convention against Corruption and the 10th Principle of the UN Global Compact. comp_abrinqTHE CHILD FRIENDLY COMPANY PROGRAM The Child Friendly Company Program was created by Abrinq Foundation in 1995 with the aim of mobilizing companies to enact measures which benefit children and adolescents in Brazil. The program seeks to encourage private social investment in programs for children and adolescents, and support companies in the qualification of their actions, so they are in line with the Brazilian Statute for Children and Adolescents. To be a Child Friendly Company, the company assumes 05 basic commitments: 1. Not to use child labor and not to employ adolescents in nocturnal, unhealthy and dangerous activities, respecting the Law # 8.069/90 Statute for Children and Adolescents. 2. Alert contracted suppliers that any proven charge of child labor will cause a termination of its business relationship; 3. Carry out actions of awareness for customers, suppliers and the community about the harm of child labor. 4. Develop actions to benefit children and adolescents, and employees’ children in education and health. 5. Accomplish social actions to benefit children and adolescents in communities, according to the values set by Abrinq Foundation. comp_globalTHE GLOBAL COMPACT An initiative developed by the United Nations (UN), with the aim of mobilizing the international business community for the adoption of their business practices of major and internationally accepted values in the areas of human rights, labor relationships, environment and corruption combat principles, reflected on 10 principles: PRINCIPLE 1 – Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and PRINCIPLE 2 – Make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses. PRINCIPLE 3 – Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining; PRINCIPLE 4 – The elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour; PRINCIPLE 5 – The effective abolition of child labour; and PRINCIPLE 6 – The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation. PRINCIPLE 7 – Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges; PRINCIPLE 8 – Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and PRINCIPLE 9 – Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies; PRINCIPLE 10 – Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery. comp_milenioTHE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS The Millennium Development Goals are a set of eight macro-objectives to be achieved by the countries by the year 2015, through concrete actions of governments and society. The Millennium Declaration was adopted by the UN in September of 2000. Brazil, along with 191 UN country members, signed the pact and established a shared commitment to sustainability of the planet. The Millennium Development Goals can be seen as Brazil’s commitment to improving our planet. 8 WAYS TO CHANGE THE WORLD – THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS 1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger; 2. Achieve universal primary education; 3. Promote gender equality and empower women; 4. Reduce child mortality; 5. Improve maternal health; 6. Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases; 7. Ensure environmental sustainability; 8. Develop a global partnership for development.

NaMaoCerta Pacto Empresarial contra Exploração Sexual de Crianças e Adolescentes nas Rodovias Brasileiras Compromisso assumido em 2014 com o programa Na Mão Certa, organizado pela Childhood Brasil e que que faz parte da World Childhood Foundation, uma organização internacional dedicada à promoção e à defesa dos direitos da infância em todo o mundo. O programa visa mobilizar empresas e entidades para o enfrentamento da exploração sexual de crianças e adolescentes nas estradas brasileiras.
